This course provides a foundational overview of key land use regulations and environmental considerations affecting property ownership and development. Participants will gain insight into how local planning and zoning ordinances, flood plain management, and septic system requirements influence property use, permitting, and value. The session includes a high level overview of the most common types of septic systems and their basic functions in treating and dispersing wastewater. Learn how to interpret and apply local regulations, identify potential red flags, and better assist clients in navigating sight-specific environmental restrictions.

NOTE: Attendance Policy!!! Per the DOC Minnesota Statute45.30, Subd. 4: Continuing education courses must be attended in their entirety in order to receive credit for the number of approved hours. You must be present at the start time of class and may not leave until the course has concluded.
