Beginning March 1, 2026, new federal FinCEN reporting rules will impact how real estate professionals and title companies handle certain residential cash transactions. This course helps REALTORS understand these changes, spot and prevent common fraud schemes, and confidently navigate the proper use of the Powers of Attorney in closings. Stay informed, stay compliant, and protect your clients with practical knowledge that strengthens every transaction.

Learning Objectives:
To provide REALTORS with critical information of upcoming regulations and disclosures required related to filings with FinCEN by title insurance companies. REALTORS need to know the implications of these regulations on real estate closing. The course will also discuss ways to prevent real estate fraud related to seller impersonation fraud, wire fraud and notary fraud. The course will also cover when and how Powers of Attorney can be used in real estate closings.

This course has been approved for 3.75 Hours of Real Estate CE from Minnesota Department of Commerce.

Per the DOC Minnesota Statute 45.30, Subd. 4: Continuing education courses must be attended in their entirety in order to receive credit for the number of approved hours. You must be there by the start time of class and cannot leave before the course has concluded. No exceptions.

All cancellations must be made 24 hours prior to class to avoid a $25 "no show" fee.

Please remember that there are people usually waiting to get into a class so when you don't show or when you've reserved a "spot" in the class, and then don't show - you have taken an opportunity away from another member. Thank you for your cooperation.
