DescriptionLocationInstructorsCancellation Policy 2025-2026 Salesperson & Broker Required Module - Contracts This course provides real estate professionals, both agents and brokers, with practical answers to frequently asked questions about real estate contracts. Participants will explore recent changes to industry standards and rules, along with the legal requirements for properly forming agreements. The course highlights best practices for addressing common and unique contractual challenges, including compensation, disclosure obligations, and other critical issues. It also covers seller and licensee disclosure responsibilities, including material facts, exceptions, statutory requirements, and REALTORS® Code of Ethics standards. For brokers, additional topics include contract default and cancellation procedures, CIC (Common Interest Community) disclosure requirements, agency law, and broker-to-broker compensation agreements, offering a deeper dive into the complexities of managing contracts in a supervisory role. This course has been approved by the Minnesota Commissioner of Commerce for 3.75 hours of Real Estate Continuing Education. REGISTRATION CLOSES 24 HOURS PRIOR TO CLASS START TIME. Mr. Kopecky practiced Real Estate law for five years while an associate at Ackley, Kopecky & Kingery, LLP and then practiced Canon Law for the Archdiocese of St. Paul and Minneapolis for eight years. Mr. Kopecky is currently in-house counsel and the Director of Professional Standards for the Minnesota Association of REALTORS® Cancellations must be made a full 24 hours in advance of the class to avoid any cancellation charges to your account.
