How Big Is That House?

Course Description Discrepancies in size are one of the major complaints against appraisers, particularly for E&O claims. The value of a residential property is often directly related to its size, and there are other real estate professionals, besides appraisers, who rely on accurate size calculations, including real estate agents and assessors. In addition, since Fannie Mae now requires strict adherence to the ANSI Z765-2021 standard, it is important that appraisers understand the implications of completing assignments for Fannie Mae requests. This course provides an overview of ANSI Z765-2021 and how it can be applied by a real estate professional, including in-class calculation examples.

Course Objectives
• Understand the need for a standard
• Able to identify living areas
• Understand how ANSI Z765-2021 applies in real estate practice
• Able to apply ANSI Z765-2021 standards
• Practical applications/exercises

This course has been approved by the Minnesota Department of Commerce for 4.0 hours of Appraiser and Real Estate CE.

There is an additional $25.00 license fee for this course - payable to Susan Barkalow at the time of class.

All cancellations must be made 24 hours prior to class to avoid a $25 "no show" fee.

Please remember that there are people usually waiting to get into a class so when you don't show or when you've reserved a "spot" in the class, and then don't show - you have taken an opportunity away from another member. Thank you for your cooperation.
