Robert Siciliano
For over 30 years my work has been aimed to increase digital literacy in order to reduce cybercrime and increase personal security online and in the physical world. I do this through spreading awareness in an informative, behavior changing manner. My goal is to help learners adopt attitudes conducive to security, privacy and safety. I promote a human-focused approach to security, which is a major reason why my concepts stick. Those who truly have an appreciation for both digital and physical security are, along with their employers, the ones who avoid victimization. Security in not achieved by only installing software to manage security—I believe better decision making improves upon and reduces the mistakes behind the keyboard. When the fundamental principles of security appreciation are realized, this is when organizations reduce cybercrime. This is accomplished through unique, engaging and entertaining rhetoric.
